Welcome to Writers & Other Animals!
The idea for this blog has been romping around my brain for quite a while, and I'm wagging and purring (in a split-personality sort of way!) that it's finally coming to be. If you like to read about animals, I hope you will sign up to follow Writers & Other Animals, and share it with your like-minded friends.
New posts appear every Monday, and occasionally between Mondays as well. Come meet a variety or writers and books, poems, stories, essays....All sorts of writing and writers, some of which you may already know, and some of which may be new to you. We'll feature some animal artists as well.
Like most blogs (and most writing!), this is a work in progress. If you have suggestions, please feel free to let me know, and I'll see what I can do. If you are interested in writing a post or in having your work featured, please begin with the information under the Submissions tab.
I would love to hear from you - you can comment after any post, or email me. And please invite your friends!
Read, write, play with animals!

WOW!!! this is a great idea for a blog. I'm an animal lover and greyhound rescue person, and I read a lot of mysteries that feature animals both as pets and sleuths. I'm following this blog and will put it on my facebook too. Wishing you much success.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you here, vwright! Please tell your friends, too.
DeleteThis is a terrific idea for a blog. I am writing a mystery novel about an Afghanistan veteran and her therapy dog who try to solve the mystery of her friend's murder. It is wonderful to know there are other dog lover/readers out there! May I suggest a guest? Raine Stockton writes a wonderful series of "dog mysteries" and I think she has been very successful. Best of luck with the blog
ReplyDeleteI love the concept for your book. I am familiar with Raine Stockton's books, and I am happy to look at submissions for possible guest slots - posts, interviews, excerpts, and more (see Guest Posts for guidelines). I don't generally solicit posts, and I encourage (okay, expect!) those authors who do provide guest posts to promote their colleagues as well as themselves. Feel free to let people know about this blog - readers and authors. Thanks for commenting!
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have written a murder mystery novel. The main character, a homicide detective, takes in a stray cat that changes his life. I would love to be able to share the book and its reviews on your blog. Thank you, for your consideration.
Do you take humor books? My latest WOMEN WHO STILL LOVE CATS TOO MUCH, my ninth cat book, will be pubbing in September. Please advise. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteAllia, please read the Guest Post guidelines, and then email me. Thanks! and congrats!
